Summer Sounds and Rooftop Community Garden Shows

Summer is here and this is my favorite time for shows in DC. Summer in DC means one thing to me, Fort Reno. While, the line up has yet to be posted, I check about 5 times a day and it usually starts in July, it is the best part of summer being outside and listening to good sounds with great people. There is still some time before it begins.

There is one perfect summer show already in the works. My friends Southern Problems are set to put on what should be a lovely summer show. I was lucky enough to be able to be a part of it. The line up is Southern Problems, Bamboo Forest and my dear friend Mike Gormely from NJ. The venue could not be better, a rooftop community garden. Info can be found here. Most of my favorite shows take place during the summer months and what is better than a great outdoor show or sweaty basement show. I hope more bands have DIY outdoor shows in creative venues this summer.
