Teen Mom, Alarms & Controls and Upforth at Fort Reno

Last night marked the start of Fort Reno, which will go on until the first week August and is one of my favorite times of the year.

The night started with teen rockers Upforth, who played music with anger that is only fitting of a high school student.  I do always love how Fort Reno always give teenagers a place to play and have their music respected. The lead singer was sporting a Minor Threat sticker and Ian MacKaye was in the audience.

Alarms and Controls played a solid set and sounded very much rooted in DC. This was my first time seeing them and I enjoyed them quite a bit.

Teen Mom were great, but unfortunately they served as background music as I sat on blanket and said hi to old friends and ate my salad from Whole Foods.

Photos of this lovely night can be found on my Flickr.
